As we all know, and have heard time and time again, knowledge is power. This has held true since the dawn of time and is still true today. Greater yet is the knowledge one can have of their culture and history. Our history is one so rich that though we have been physically and mentally segregated from it for hundred's of years, it has left a lasting impression in our music, dance, fashion, literature, expression, even food. I stopped there, but the list goes on. No matter how you cut it, we have African roots and express it in every way possible. It is almost a subconscious thing that we cannot seperate ourselves from. And even if we could, who would want to? This is why I have gathered a list recommendations for books, sites, music, and events meant for education, entertainment, and enrichment. All suggestions on inclusions for this page are welcome and should be forwarded to my email.
